The project is a fine example of modern architecture. Clean lines, white volumes and large glazed surfaces that complement the functions came together for this exceptional result.
The volumes perfectly express the separation of day and night zones, connected by the entrance zone and staircase, which are the horizontal and vertical blinds of the house.
One stand-out space is the day area. Even though the concept is open-space living, kitchen and dining room occupy their own separate zones.
The central space is the kitchen with a large island, large-scale glazing on the interior courtyard and an impressive roof window.
To the front of the house, the sunken living area offers a feeling of coziness and direct connection with the exterior. Large glazing connects the space with the exterior.
As we were projecting onto an existing house, we had to keep the position of the garage and pool. On the second floor, we added the master bedroom with en-suite and a large walk-in wardrobe, an open stair and a double-height family room. The two-story corner window capitalizes on the monumental space.
The third floor is wholly designated as a night zone, with a hallway naturally lit by skylights.
